    24/7 Family Violence Response Centre provides at no cost a range of professional support services for women and children experiencing violence and abuse from a partner or ex-partner, another family member or someone close to them. Safe Steps is the central contact point for women's refuges in Victoria.

    Are you experiencing sexual assault or domestic and family violence? Seeking to support someone who is? As a National counselling helpline, information and support 24/7, we can help.
  • 1800 184 527 - Gay and Lesbian Switchboard Victoria
    Switchboard is a volunteer organisation which provides a free, confidential and anonymous telephone counselling, referral and information service for the Victorian lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, intersex and queer (LGBTIQ) communities and their supporters. Open from 3pm to midnight.
  • 1800 755 988 - inTouch Multicultural Centre Against Family Violence
    For women and children from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds who have experienced family violence. Advice and assistance can be provided to women wishing to obtain a Visa or to remain in Australia.
  • 1800 105 303 - Aboriginal Family Violence Prevention and Legal Service (FVPLS)
    FVPLS provides legal advice, counselling, information, referral and support to Aboriginal people who have experienced or are experiencing family violence and or sexual assault.
  • 1800 806 292 - Centre Against Sexual Assault (CASA)
    24 hour crisis support to people who have recently experienced sexual assault. CASA also provide telephone and face-to-face counselling to people who have recently or in the past experienced sexual assault/abuse (including incest). CASA provides legal information and can support people to communicate with hospitals, doctors, police, and other legal system representatives where appropriate.

    Legal Aid provides free information about family violence intervention orders and can help with legal problems relating to family violence and other matters.

    The Advice Line is for anyone who is affected by family relationship or separation issues and difficulties. This includes parents, grandparents, children, young people, step-parents or friends.

    Providers of specialist family and relationship services. Their vision is for positive, safe and respectful relationships for couples, families, schools, workplaces and communities.

  • 1300 766 491 -  Men's Referral Service
    This service provides trained counsellors who treat people with respect - and if desired, anonymously. It supports men who are using controlling or violent behaviour to stop and provides referrals and assistance to men who are victims of family violence.

    MensLine Australia is a professional telephone and online support and information service for Australian men - 24/7. It supports men who are abusers or are being abused.
